Over nine years ago I decided to get in better shape and lose weight. I consulted my doctor and asked him to put a game plan together for me. He said that we would watch what I was eating and go from there, however the number one thing I needed to do to be successful was increase activity.

He told me to go to World Gym and work on all the exercise equipment and lift weights because I would need to keep my muscle tone up while losing a lot of weight. I lost 175 pounds and World Gym was a huge part of my success. I feel so much better is the big plus.

I have found every one that works at World Gym to be so helpful and encouraging of my success in the stay healthy game we are all trying to win. I would recommend World Gym to everyone wanting to get in better health or just wanting to maintain the great shape that they may already be in.

I started my weight loss journey at World Gym in January of 2013. When I started, it was like the hundreds of other times I started a diet, I went to the gym and got on an elliptical for 30 minutes everyday. Seeing no results I decided to try the group fitness classes, I loved how they organized them with cardio one day and then strength another day. I didn’t have to think about what I needed to do, I just knew I would show up to class and get a great workout! With the little tip from the teachers and the workouts switched up everyday, I saw the pounds finally start to come off!

I decided to go one step further and get a personal trainer as well and they helped me figure out what to eat and when to eat it to maximize the weight loss and muscle growth. It was an 8 month process so it wasn’t fast but it was consistent and it was thanks to all the knowledgeable trainers and instructors that kept me motivated along my journey to better health.

I made it a priority to get to the gym everyday, it was so easy to do because I had somewhere for my kids to play while I was working out. In Rexburg, they have a Kids World so it wasn’t a matter of waiting for my husband to get home so I could just go when I wanted to go and not worry about my kids for the 90 minutes I had them in kids care. I love World Gym and I am proud to say I lost 40 lbs and I am healthier and happier than I have ever been!

I lost 50lbs in a 9 months and have been able to keep the weight off. I went into World Gym without a plan. I just got on a treadmill and waited for a miracle. After a little time and no results I asked a personal trainer, that was walking by, for some suggestions. I took his advice and started loosing some weight. I worked with him more and over 9 months lost 50 lbs and didn’t realize how much different I really looked until my daughter sent me a before and after picture. It was definitely worth getting help from a trainer. I have so much more energy to play with my granddaughter and I’m not as hungry all the time now. Should have done this years ago.
