Meet The Trainers
TRAINING MANAGER – ARIC HIGDON
ARIC has a passion for fitness. He is currently studying at BYU-Idaho has been with World Gym for the last year. As a training manager, he specializes in fitness assessments and developing a workout strategy for you. He starts by working with your goals to build a better you. Then he will begin pairing your goals with your current fitness level. This allows the development of an effective fitness plan to achieve the results you want. He is able to pair you with a program and trainer to meet your needs, your busy schedule and your personality. All of this comes into play when you are looking at making a lifestyle change.
You can usually find Aric helping members around the gym. Don’t be afraid to Ask Aric advice on using the equipment or if you are using it correctly. He enjoys being in the gym and seeing the progress clients are making. He loves to answer questions or teaching members how to use the fitness equipment so they maximize its effectiveness. When Aric isn’t in the gym he enjoys spending time with his family and in the outdoors. He spends his free time snowboarding, archery, hiking and swimming to name a few.
Scott is a Rexburg native. He is the oldest of four children and has three sisters. He was raised on a dairy farm and taught a strong work ethic from early on. Scott loved playing barn basketball with his uncles and was on the Ririe High School Basketball team. He also participated in track, cross-country, and football; served a mission for the Church of Latter Day Saints in Miami, Florida.
Scott graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. He met his wife, Marie, there and they have been married 19 years. They have three daughters and a son; ages sixteen through seven. Scott was formally employed with the Department of Juvenile Corrections for seventeen years. Scott has always enjoyed fitness and is certified as an ISSA personal trainer. He has been dependable strength training for Nine years. He has additional education work through American Fitness Professionals has been employed with Atain for over 5 years. Scott enjoys being a personal trainer because of those individuals he trains and seeing them achieve their fitness goals.
Annette has a lifelong passion for health and fitness and a desire to stay physically active. She has a firm belief in incorporating all areas of fitness into her life. She understands the importance of good nutrition and the role it plays in establishing and maintaining overall health and quality of life. This passion has led her to pursue becoming a certified personal trainer. She received her certification through the National Council on Strength and Fitness. She enjoys sharing this passion with others and will work hard to continue broadening her understanding and knowledge.
Annette began strength training 15 years ago and gives credit to her husband, Dale, for encouraging her to add that very important aspect of physical fitness into her life. They have been married for 31 years and have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. In addition to being an avid participant in exercise, Annette enjoys cooking, singing, quilting, reading, gardening, fishing with Dale, and most of all, spending quality time with her family.
Heidi is from a small town in Washington called Moses Lake. In this little town, she learned big things. She learned how to be dedicated, determined, hard working, trustworthy and how to make my own fun because you have to in a small town!
She fell in love with sports and music at a very young age which has shaped her into who she is today. She played Soccer and was ranked first team all-league as a goalie. College soccer was an option, but she turned it down to start towards a career at BYU-Idaho. Exercise has become her passion and is now certified as an ISSA personal trainer. She hopes to help others achieve their goals of living a healthy and happy life!

Martin is an enthusiastic and committed personal trainer. If you are looking for someone to help you achieve your goals in a timely manner, he is your man! He has a background in various types of training including Powerlifting, Olympic lifting, HIIT, CrossFit and Functional Movement Training. He also has knowledge and experience helping people with weight loss and establishing healthy nutritional habits; both of which are an important part of a healthy lifestyle. In addition, he also has knowledge concerning designing programs to help with Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, and Osteoporosis.
He enjoys playing sports and the outdoors. He is from Montreal Canada and his favorite sport is obviously hockey! Martin graduated from BYU-I in Exercise Physiology and currently works at the University as an adjunct professor teaching Anatomy and Physiology. Later this year he will start his Master’s in Kinesiology. He and his wife, Paige, enjoy being active, cooking together and Latin dance.
Chris is a National Federation of Professional Trainer’s (NFPT) accredited personal fitness trainer and commercial model. He has experience teaching and instructing various types of fitness classes including weight training, CrossFit, HIIT, Bootcamp, Tabata, jump rope, gymnastics, and dance. With his wide variety of experience, he has all the necessary tools to help others achieve their fitness goals.
He is currently a student at Brigham Young University studying pre-med physical therapy.
Chris is a second-generation native Spanish speaker and enjoys training non-English speaking clients.
Lexie has been working at World Gym since August. A recent graduate of Brigham Young University-Idaho, she completed a Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology and is currently working towards her personal training and exercise therapy certifications. She is planning on going back to school for her PTA, specializing in sports medicine. She served an LDS mission in Argentina for 18 months. She loves to play basketball and also loves everything outdoors. Her hobbies include playing the guitar and the piano, playing sports and hanging out with her sisters.
Rote is an Atain personal trainer with over 22 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. A graduate of the University of Utah with a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, he also has 6 national certifications including ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NASM, IFPA and Cross fit level 1. Rote has competed and won several local and regional bodybuilding contests such as NPC Mr. Utah, Golden Spike NGA Pro, Muscle Mania Las Vegas, and the Grand Teton Invitational. His other interests include golf, hiking, and anything outdoors. Rote loves personal training and most importantly helping others achieve their fitness goals!
John has been training with Atain since July of 2010. He is a former Infantry Marine serving 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Bn. As a Reconnaissance Scout; John served two deployments to the Middle East and also had a secondary M.O.S as a heavy machine gunner. John worked as a locomotive engineer for just over 6 years after serving in the Marine Corps. John suffered from a knee injury sustained during his service and was required to have a total knee replacement. John hired Rote Chuensiri as his personal trainer to help him regain his strength and overcome his injuries. He credits his hard work, his personal trainer and his Marine Corps mentality to what drove him to become a personal trainer himself. John’s passions include weight training, Steelhead fishing, hunting, and firearms.
Rocky joined the World Gym team in January of 2013, later joining Atain Personal Training in March of 2013. He has participated in semi-pro football for 13 years with a team in the Boise area. Rocky Joined Team USA football in 2008 and continues to be a member of the team. Some of his hobbies include watching movies, spending time with his kids and family, and spending a lot of time at the gym. He is outgoing and friendly and loves the members and his clients here at World Gym!
New to Atain, Tiffany has always had a passion for physical fitness. Tiffany is a member of World Gym and began training with Rote Chuensiri. She says her drive for becoming a personal trainer came from her passion and the encouragement from Rote as her trainer. She made a decision to go back to school after so many years of being a stay at home mom of two beautiful children. She is currently enrolled in ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association) to get her associates degree in exercise science and a national master certificate. Tiffany’s other interests are her spending time with her family and most of all her husband (who is truly her best friend). Tiffany loves outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, camping, snow shoeing, ice skating, snowboarding, and rock climbing are just a few of her hobbies besides weight training, spinning, and yoga! Tiffany is very passionate about many things in her life and says her favorite quote she lives by is “You only live once so you might as well die trying something new and exciting.”
